Blues or greens? Frazzled mind

Redoing our bathroom. Have chosen everything apart from the colour of the walls. Very small space, with one small window which faces out into a woodland and so not too much natural light, but some. The upper half of the walls and the ceiling are all natural wood and have to stay that way. A nice pine wood colour. We won't have a bath, just a shower and the wall panels are a lovely bronze/copper colour. All of the brassware and shower enclosure is black. Our vanity and furniture are blue... the closest colour match is probably Stiffkey Blue. It is actually called that although not direct match for F&B. We will have traditional butt & bead panelling around the walls to a height of 4ft (with the natural wood above and to the ceiling). It is the colour of this I cant decide on! I am thinking a different blue tone to the furniture and thought Dock Blue looked quite nice, (Little Greene paint) although a little dark maybe? Then I saw a nice greeny blue colour by Little Greene called Harley Green. Has anyone got any suggestions to colours which may go, or how to mix the blues together? I dont want the wall and furniture to be the same, and there has to be noticable difference so it doesn't look it has been poorly matched to look the same! Please no reds/oranges/yellows etc. Blues and greens only...and must match the bronze/copper of the shower. My mind is frazzled!

Do you have a photo, OP? Bit hard to visualise! 😊

The bathroom isn't done yet, but here are pics of the shower wall colour, the vanity colour and the type of panelling needing painting. The panelling will be directly behind the vanity and cupboard (both the same as a counter top bowl is going on top of one of them).. Ceiling pics also... All fixtures/fittings will be black inc black led spots (white bulbs of course, just black casing!) The only white will be the bowl and toilet (black seat)

With the wood and the blue furniture I would paint a neutral off white.

Everyone's taste is different, of course, but I don't think I would go dark on the panelling. Seems to me you've got a lot going on in a small space - two different browns on wall surfaces, blue furniture, black fittings.

I think I might like a pale blue - something with a grey undertone to go with the furniture. Based on the image you've posted, something like F&B Parma Gray might work.

Parma Gray No.27 | Handcrafted Paint

Parma Gray has a cool nature and can feel quite formal, but is a firm favourite for those who prefer a clean and crisp finish. Available in-store and online.

PS - Don't be put off by the name Parma Gray - F&B has very eccentric colour names, as you may have discovered. The description on the website is "a cool mid blue."

I have a F&B rug called Lots Blue and it's green!

Someone else suggested Parma Gray. I will look more into it, but it might be too light. I am thinking a moody, dark colour. Which is why I thought of Dock Blue to start with. It is so difficult to visualise in the space available! Along with the fact that the colours don't show their 'true colours' on a pc.

Nice project, OP! You could invest in some tester pots and paint large pieces of card or lining paper (two coats of paint to get the best idea of the colour). Stick them up on the relevant places and live with them for a full day to see how the colour varies in the light.

Good luck!
