Just wondering if anyone has used this and what you think?
I’m thinking of using it on a front door (exterior only), with a white trim. The house is north facing, red brick, inside a sheltered porch so not in full daylight. We have quite a lot of stained glass on the house front so I’m looking for subtle rather than a light or bright green, and thought this might fit the bill. Some reviews say it’s more green outside than in but I can’t find much about it for north facing, and I don’t want it to be too black reading and definitely not grey.
Hope someone can help a bit! 🙂

Colours are so personal, but to me Studio Green looks a bit oppressive.

Wondering if you've looked at Inchyra Blue. F&B website shows it on a brick house with stained glass. Says looks blue, grey or even green in some lights. Imo it's a bit more subtle than Studio Green.

Thank you, I do like that too, I just wonder if it’s a bit too blue ?

This is a tricky one. In some of the photos, it looks distinctly green.
I find that F&B colour naming is eccentric . I have this carpet - the colour is called Lots Blue but the carpet is pale green.
If you think it could work, you would probably have to buy a sample pot and put it on a craft board to test it outside.

I think a door looks better with the trim painted the same colour as the door. It makes the entrance look more generous - I know a lot of people do it because their windows are white but in my opinion a white trim looks awful. Paint your door any colour as long as the tones match your bricks it will be fine.

I was originally planning to do it all the same @Waitingforgeorge, but then thought it might look cleaner and brighter with a white frame. Since then though I’ve been looking at the whole thing and the frame is quite chunky which would mean quite a lot of white, so back to thinking now.
I’ll put a photo on, that might help.

Here we go. The front needs work and this is the first bit. Window frames are white, house stock brick and white smooth render, large windows. Needs new fascia’s etc which will be black I think.

It's a personal choice, of course, @gluenotsoup , but after looking at a couple of images online, I think I prefer the white surround for you, especially in a north light and with the white surround on the windows. It doesn't have to be the brightest white; some of the F&B colours are softer, but I like the look of the contrasting frame.
