Bedding to prevent night sweating?

Hello!
Is there any particular duvet or blanket etc that will prevent night sweating?

I read online articles but it seems depending on their own commercial interests, they promote as cooling bedding either wool or goose feather or down or microfibre etc so it's hard to draw any conclusion.

It needs to offer some warmth of course but can it also prevent sweating?

Any recommendation?

Thanks!

It might be a matter of experimentation on your side. A combination of not having too much warmth/heat-holding underneath/over you and also using natural fibres.

I've found brushed cotton was an ok balance between still feeling warm and cosy but not over warm or making things worse. Cotton seemed noticeably better than synthetic/mixed blend when I swapped so I stuck with it.

I would also go for layers rather than a duvet so you can layer up or down to get more comfortable.

Also I got a room thermometer so I could keep an eye on what the actual temperature was and adjust accordingly. Even small fluctuations in temperature and ventilation seemed to make a big difference, so it might be worth bearing that in mind as well as the bedding itself. After a while you get a sense of what temperature range might make things better/worse.

This is 100% anecdotal though.

There's a mattress topper for air flow, can't recall the brand but it was something like Dreams. My dh didn't like it so we stopped using it, and i no longer suffer it, but if i did i would buy a single and put it on my side. In addition to this i used cotton duvet covers with no duvet. Instead i wore layers, so socks and pjs with a hot water bottle until the heat overtook. Good luck op.

I am now using linen bedding and this helped a lot.
