Dark Corridor Help

I have a dark corridor from my front door to the kitchen (no windows) It's quite narrow so can't have anything in it.
I'm going to do tongue and groove paneling white on the bottom with a creamy beige on top.
The end wall has a mirror already.
Does anyone have any suggestions to make it appear brighter?

A bright light? Tesco hasn't got windows and it's pretty bright in there.. (sorry I am sure someone will be along in a minute with some useful tips)

I had a similar corridor and I painted it a warm yellow, with white ceiling and white gloss woodwork. It gave the artificial light a softness that felt like sunshine. A warmer tone to the light, I suppose. The corridor had been all white before, but always looked either grey or harshly cold.

We had a dark corridor, the stairs came off it.
We put a sun tube just above the top.of the stairs. Worked a treat.

Lighting. I’ve got fairy lights up in dark rooms and it makes a massive difference. Your paint colour and mirrors sounds excellent

Thank you all! Will try lights

Going against the grain, have you considered embracing the dark and painting it a dark colour. Sometimes dark places painted pale look bad because they are fighting with the lack of light and appear drab. Colour drenching in a dark colour could make it dramatic and cosy.

Does the hallway go into a room at the end? Ours went into the kitchen, and we got glazed doors, and put a transom window above this, and it's now lots brighter. Also, opal lights, with warm bulbs (preferably on dimmers) make a huge difference - we paid for a consult with a light planner when living in a dark warehouse flat and these really helped

Could you put fan lights in (internal windows above the doors)?

A rough diagram.
The back of the house doesn't get direct sun so it's quite dark anyway.
I love bold colours, but I think dark would be awful here.
I'll look at fan lights too thank you
