Painting the kitchen ceiling

So I always use Farrow and Ball modern emulsion because it goes on well, covers in a maximum of 2 coats and looks great, it lasts for years and is washable.
A friend said it is overated rubbish and dulux is much better.
So....I bought a really good bare plaster primer, then put on 5 coats of dulux kitchen paint. The kitchen ceiling is still patchy.
That's it, I'm not only exhausted but sick of it, I'm going out tomorrow to buy a small tin of Farrow and Ball white which will cover it in one coat and look great.
I don't care how expensive it is it's worth every penny for finish and saving time.
I'm just annoyed with myself for not using it in the first place.
And as for cost I bought a tin of dulux and had to use two tins, if I'd bought one tin of Farrow and Ball it would have actually been cheaper than the two tins of dulux. And it would be done by now.
I painted the rest of my newly plastered house with F&B and it was done in no time.
I only use modern emulsion though - I don't know how the other types work.
