Hi! Does anyone know if I can buy a normal set of curtains from online and then take them somewhere else to have some thermal lining applied?

You don’t need to take them somewhere, you can buy thermal linings to attach yourself

Is that hard to do?

No, not at all, it’s just using curtain hooks to attach them to the curtains (easier with the ones you gather up rather than eyelet ones)
Have a google, there’s loads on YouTube etc. You’re well capable of this!

Pleayed curtains with heading tape,it's really easy to do at home. Just an extra set of hooks.

Eyelet curtains, I think you clip the liner onto colorless rings.

I bought some clip in thermal liners from Dunelm- you just attach them with curtain hooks. A teensy bit fiddly, but nothing more than a 30 minute job.
