Interior wood white paint that doesn’t go yellow

I usually use Dulux Once satinwood on doors and skirting - I do two coats actually, but it goes on nicely and doesn’t drip much. Every white wood paint I’ve used in recent years has gone yellow over time, but I’ve just noticed it’s yellow already in the room I did earlier this year! (A bit that gets no light).

I’m about to decorate the hall and stairs and landings…two flights of staircase and 12 doors! So I’ve got to get it right first time.

I’m also quite a messy decorator. I do a good job, but something that needs to go on very carefully to avoid dripping isn’t for me. I don’t want to go with dark grey/ black, which seems to be the trend and would avoid the problem. And not a fan of high gloss. Walls will be a pale ish neutral colour.

Any recommendations please?

All paint will develop a 'patina' overtime. Your best bet is probably to embrace that rather fight it. Go for eggshells that are slightly off-white, a bit chalky-greyish, like F&B Wevet or even Blackened or Schoolhouse White. Or go for stone coloured neutrals. The perfect glossy white look is never going to last, especially in a hallway.

Frenchic alfresco won’t yellow. Look at the Brilliant white. I painted my doors about 4 years ago and they’re not yellowing at all.

Water based gloss doesn't go yellow, so look for that. It's harder to work with but it lasts so much longer and it doesn't stink either.
