Farrow and ball. Colour match and finish advice

Have finally decided on a colour (Farrow and Ball mouses back) but need to decide what finish. Majority is wood panelling which is up to picture rail. Have a dog, kid and husband so ideally need something durable/wipeable. If I stick with farrow and ball what finish? If I colour match who should I use and what finish? Recommendations please.

Find yourself a decorating centre locally that has the paint codes for F&B - there is also Decorating Centre Online who can also mix F&B paint colours to your required finish. Either would be able to advise you on the finish you need.

I always use Brewers for this, colour match using Johnstones trade, they are apparently licensed to do this from F&B and has always been a good match for me. Works out about 1/2 to 2/3 the original’s price depending on if there’s any offers on. Finish wise, an eggshell id have thought?

Ps actually had that colour in a living room a few years back, very nice.

I’ve recently had a colour matches for F&B at our local trade paint centre, the staff gave good advice on the finishes.

We had Valspar premium paint mixed to colour match F&B for our kitchen. It’s really hard wearing and durable. I’m forever wiping it down but it doesn’t come off.

I used F&B modern eggshell to upcycle a dresser and a cabin bed. Neither of them have chipped and the cabin bed in particular takes a lot of punishment!

I used decorating centre online to colour match and used scrubbable Matt finish. Highly recommend

My local B&Q has all F&B colours saved and can match them using Valspar. I really like the Valspar Trade Eggshell in mat. I had 5 cans of original F&B but after trying the Valspar Trade, I left the original in the shed for some smaller jobs and used the match on a big job as it covered so much better and looked the same.

You can't beat F&B for durability.

Most extreme example: used on wood in our garden 8 years ago and not a single damage to the paint so far. It's been through hot sunshine, pouring rain, snow and frost and I wash it a couple of times a year with soapy water. But we did apply 2 layers of matching undercoat and 3 layers of topcoat - I think this makes a difference.

I'd just get F&B not mess about with other brands or colour matching. I appreciate it is not cheap. A pot of paint was just over £60 when we did our garden project and the same pot is now £80 - ridiculous price increases.
