Does your Slaked Lime Deep look greenish? (Little Greene paint)

Am considering for units in south facing kitchen…I feel like Slaked Lime deep sample looks a bit khaki? I don’t dislike that but am not sure what that means for tiles/wall paint etc. and whether this is more cool than warm (which I was looking for). Also interested in Portland Stone if anyone has any insights!

I haven't used Slaked Lime Deep, only Slaked Lime. I would definitely describe it as cool rather than warm.

Oh interesting…the blurb suggests it’s a warm tone. I have samples of slaked lime original, mid and dark and can’t decide…which makes me conclude it’s a true neutral. I’d say the original looks very bright and the darker you go the greener (and maybe warmer) it looks to me. My DH can’t really see the green so I don’t know if I am just imagining it!

In all the pics I have seen it definitely looks cooler to me. I don’t understand the appeal of it personally

I see green too in the slaked lime

I had a look online and saw it in different circumstances. Khaki is made from blue, yellow and red so it’s possible for it to be neutral. I suspect different lighting and different accents bring out different shades. I think it’s lovely.

We have slaked lime (pale orginal anddddd dark!) in our NWW facing kitchen.

I detect NO khaki at all.

It is fairly cool and a true neutral.
I find it quite clean and modern (we have a period house, but kitchen extension is modern with pitched roof)

I probably wouldnt use it in a bedroom

Does it look grey tinge ?

Dianalouise · 02/03/2024 08:08

Well we ended up going for it pretty much throughout the house. In north facing livingroom we went dark on one wall and mid on the others and it has really warmed up the room. The dark is a tiny bit khaki in my eyes but it warms up the room really well. Previously we had a browny blush feature wall and oddly that felt colder than the slaked lime 🤷‍♂️. Our sun filled south facing kitchen diner we went with slaked lime deep on the units and mid on the walls and I’m really delighted with it…feels really bright but neither warm nor cold…it’s a bit of a magic neutral I think. Am glad we went with it.

Does it look grey tinge ?

Honestly depends on the light. I can detect a hint of grey in the paler variations (slaked lime mid and deep) and not at all in the dark.
