Help me find some curtains for a large Victorian bay window!

I can't find anything! We currently have brown and red curtains that look dated. Would like a fresher look - maybe greens or creams? It's a lot of meterial, not sure where to get them from. Don't want to spend a fortune. TIA

Dunelm do ready-made curtains that are quite reasonable for price or they have a made-to-measure service, which is more expensive. John Lewis do curtains but are more pricey than Dunelm. The positive of those two are that they have physical shops you can visit to look at fabric quality, whereas online companies you have to order fabric swatches.

Thank you so much. Hadn't thought of Dunelm. Wondering about colours, love calming colours?

I'd second Dunelm, they are reasonable in price, well made and last forever. Check out their online store.

What would you consider expensive? The most expensive part of getting curtains for a bay is the amount of fabric that is needed and how much that is per metre. I bought spectacularly cheap cotton from IKEA and got a local shop to make curtains with it for my bay window. I had pinch pleats and interlining so they look fabulous. If you want nice fabric then blinds use far less than curtains so can work out cheaper, e.g. we've got a roman blind in DSs room made with Marimekko fabric which only required 1.5m of fabric (also with interlining so cozy).

IKEA also do cheap premade curtains, we've got two large modern french doors in our dining room so are buying multiple sets of linen curtains from IKEA, then sewing them together to get the desired width (1.5-2.5x width of window) and we'll use an pinch pleat hack to make them look good. Not lined though so I wouldn't recommend on old windows.

Try the Hack That Makes IKEA Curtains Look Expensive

With this easy DIY you can easily transform budget-friendly IKEA curtains in to curtains that look tailored. Follow our instructions for the IKEA curtain hack.

How big do they need to be?
Our biggest issue was the drop. IKEA used to do several curtains is a long drop, but think they have mainly stopped now. I had 4 ikea curtains in a bay like that (2 pairs) with a not long enough, but covered the glass, blackout lining from dunelm behind to help with temperature and light.
So curtains went ceiling to floor. Linings went ceiling to windowsil.
Think the longest off the shelf now is Dunlem at 275.
The other option is put an alert on ebay, and see whatcomes up second hand as people replace their curtains.

Look on ebay or get a local curtain maker to do them using cheap fabric you find yourself?
