Hallway paint colour!

My hallway can be quite dark, there is lots of woodwork white will be white (with oak doors).

Looking for a wall paint that's pale and probably a variation of white. Must be a warm colour not cool, not grey. Thinking about F&B Wimborne White but would also like to be a little braver.

Oak doors & hall way floor.

Brown/beige carpets.

White door frames & skirting etc.

Any ideas?!

Just putting it out there as have just been looking at my farrow and ball book as want to change the living room colour. Joa says if you have a dark hall painted in a dark colour it exudes glamour at the point of arrival and all other rooms coming off it feel lighter and brighter. FWIW my hallway ;which doesn’t get much light) is Hardwick White which is grey with a dose of brown so not cold. I really like it

Dulux Nutmeg White is really nice, warm but bright.

The best colour I found for a dingy north facing dining room with little natural light was Dulux Cornflower White. Arguably not warm itself, but made all the warm wood tones of the floor, doors and shelves sing, and somehow illuminated the space in a way that no warm / beige white could. Looks great with white woodwork too. For a warm white I suggest Edward Bulmer Rose Tinted White.

Dulux Natural Hessian is fab, always have compliments on it.

I have Dulux Mellow Mocha in my hall. It’s got a slight pink to it, and it’s a lovely colour

Dulux Highland Falls 6? A pale green

In last house we had a windowless internal corridor with oak floor. I painted it various warm-off-white shades over the years, and it always looked unwelcoming and drab. Then on a whim I painted it a scary yellowy mustardy colour and it looked FAB, very uplifting and welcoming.

I'm not suggesting paint it a colour you hate, but think what colours make you smile or feel cozy and if it would be too much, then go for a tamer version.

EG "setting plaster" by f&b, or "sunlight" from LittleGreene, or a willowy sagey green colour.

Our north-facing hall was white to start with - grim and unwelcoming.
Then we put up the most beautiful wallpaper art nouveau-y peacocks in dark blue and gold. Lovely but so dark! quite depressing though I didn't realise till it had gone.
Third and best is Crown Copper under the dado rail and a creamy yellow above, with a terracotta stair carpet. Warm, welcoming, doesn't show the dirt, still looking good years later. The only disadvantage is that pictures have to be just right.. Many didn't look right but we found ones that did.

Setting plaster is just lovely. I've never regretted it, especially in a north facing room.
