Slot in kitchen worktop

We have a very small utility area in my new home so we can’t afford to waste any space in there. The narrowness of the room mean it’s all laid out along one wall and comprises 2 standard sized appliances, then a sink, then about 60 cm of additional length. I’d like to place a kitchen worktop over all of this so about 240cm in total.
One of the immovable appliances is the central heating boiler (60cm wide) which sits on the floor in the corner. It doesn’t move and unfortunately access is required through it’s top (or lid) for maintenance purposes so I need the last part of the worktop to be removable like some sort of slot-in arrangement, or liftable (like a bar top on hinges).
I’ve trawled the internet but I can’t really find any images of something similar.
Any ideas?

Mine just has a removable piece at the end over the boiler.
I could have a joining strip (and used to before the utility was refitted) but don't find it actually needs one.
I slide the section of worktop out when necessary.

Thanks both. I think, now you mention it, the clearance needed for a hinged top is too big for the wall cupboards above so Chasingsquirrels has nailed it for me. Thanks. Good to see the photos too 😊

On closer inspection of the photos it’s actually the same boiler.

You just need a decent joiner

Yes - Worktop in place / slid put a bit / fully removed.

Oh!
You meant yours in the same boiler?
Duh 🤣

We used a small slice of worktop (about 5cm maybe) screwed onto the wall for the worktop to rest on, and little blocked screwed into the worktop on the other side.
