Updating House Exterior

Our house was built in the 60s and it really looks it. The exterior is a mix of white UPVC cladding and brick, a bit like this house:

I'd like to switch the white cladding for something different, but don't want to choose something that would put future buyers off, as we would like to move at some point in the next 5 years.

I quite like some of the grey options, but worry that will also look dated pretty soon. Also wonder whether to cover the bricks like this, would love some opinions:

White Embossed PVC Cladding | Exterior | Fortex

Fortex White Cladding is embossed with a wood grain effect to make it look like painted wood. Supplied in 5m lengths for less joints and easy installation.

There are a lot of houses like this where I grew up in the North East. The ones that have been modernised and look nicest have all been rendered where the cladding is. Some painted cream, others a dark grey.

Anything in that ruddy awful light grey that I see on a lot of 'done up' properties is awful
And is already dated. Whatever you do avoid grey like the plague.

There is a group on Facebook where you will get lots of suggestions and help and advice

I've joined the group you suggested thanks. I like the Sage Green on this visualiser but wonder if that is too close to the pale grey that other posters hate?

@Gaggley I liked the sage green as well! Much softer and brighter than grey which often looks flat.

I don't think it will date either.

Around us, several houses like that have had the upvc cladding replaced with vertical timber cladding, the bricks have been rendered white and the windows have been replaced with grey aluminium(?). It looks very crisp and very smart.
