Curtain track challenges - can you help?!

Hello!
really hoping someone here can help with this set up!
We had an expensive wooden blind fitted in our bedroom when we moved in to our house, for privacy and as I liked the look. As well as the blinds, to try and achieve a reasonable black out we were advised to get a curtain track to go on the baton to enable pencil pleat curtains that would let less light in. But the track to me has always looked rubbish, I hate the brackets and would like something much more discrete.
Is there such a thing as a track that would fit more flush to the baton? Can only find ones with brackets that really stick out. Have considered ceiling fix track but not sure how that would look when we already have a baton above the window?
or any other ideas that might work here to make it a bit more pleasing to the eye whilst also providing a good level of back out? I would be so grateful for any input as my search has been a bit fruitless.
will try and include photos of current set up so you can see what I’m dealing with…

A box pelmet to cover the track?

You can certainly have a flush track on the baton BUT I suspect that the current track has been fitted on those brackets because the blind sits slightly proud of the window and this is to ensure clearance between the blind and the curtains.

you are right, I wonder if moving the bling back into the recess slight more might help? Any ideas where we might get a track that would sit flush, or if it has a special name? Thanks so much!

Yes I guess that would work, maybe I’m being really fussy now but not sure I like the look of them…. But it’s an option we’d not considered so thanks for the idea, more research required!

I am old and don't know how to link!
You need to google "discrete curtain track " It should be £20-£30. Look for an aluminium track.

That is quite ugly. Have a look at silent gliss. They have very small tracks or much prettier ones.

We have swish tracks in several rooms. They are white and we don't notice them. The brackets are behind the track so you don't see them at all. Move the blind back into the recess so that it's flush or just behind the opening, then you can remove the baton and attach a track for even more blackout.

Oh that sounds promising. Is removing the baton a big job? Might attempt that ourselves… weirdly it’s in several bits which doesn’t really add to the overall look 😂will have a look, at swish… could you share a photo of yours if that isn’t too much to ask?

Yes going from pretty to ugly would be a good result for this project! Thanks for the idea

Thank you! It’s quite a long length so looks like we might need a join but hopefully that will be discrete too!

Why does it need to be on a track? They are ugly generally. I'd replace with a curtain pole, once you have moved the blind in a bit more.

We had been advised that as a track would sit closer the the wall it would be better to darken the room? I have struggled to get pencil pleat curtains to sit well on poles and I guess eyelet curtains could also let in more light? ( the blinds don’t do a great job of blacking out, but maybe will when then are fitted more into the recess- although that’s slightly limited by the window vents that stick out!)
But I’d much prefer a pole if there was a way to make it work in this situation!? Thanks for your reply
