Bathroom painting advice (new plaster)

I've recently had my bathroom replastered and it's dry/ready to paint.
I gather I need to "seal" the plaster- can I do this with Dulux bathroom paint (that I already have leftover from last time), then paint over with something like Zinsser anti-mould paint? Or would it be better to seal/prime with a general emulsion? Just wondering if the top coat won't go over bathroom paint nicely. It's matte if that makes any difference.
Any other tips, other than ventilation/heat, to keep the dreaded mould at bay? I really want to keep my bathroom lovely now!

I've just had my ceilings plastered and the guys said to water down emulsion for the first coat.

Not sure if your bathroom paint would work.

Always mist coat new plaster, diluted matt emulsion. Then carry on with your choice of paint.

Thanks, I thought as much. I'll pick some emulsion up with the final coat.

Did you have a problem with mould before? A well-ventilated bathroom shouldn’t need specialist anti-mould paint but some are more prone than others.

@MotherOfHouseplants yes and no. There were mould stains on the ceiling but the previous tenants weren't as militant about opening windows after showering as I am. I think it will be fine with my routine (really hope so any way!).

We were told to do the mist coat with watered down bathroom emulsion so that's what we did. Looks great!
