How to 'decorate' rental property?

I've moved into a gorgeous house which I am incredibly lucky to have. Unfortunately I am not allowed to put anything on the walls, no shelves, no pictures (can't put holes in or use anything that adheres to walls - it's in my contract). My last landlord was awful but didn't really care what I did with the walls, he was happy with me putting as many pictures up as I liked, so have built quite the collection of art. I'm gutted I can't put it up, but would still like to display it. I have 3 mantelpieces I can stand pictures on and a bookshelf. I have a space in the lounge, the dining room and my bedroom for bits of furniture that ideally I'd like to be able to stand bits of art on, but what? Are there any alternative ways I can display art that I might not have thought of? I've even considered somehow covering my tiles in the bathroom by the shower in art in some kind of waterproof frame but it dawned on me that the cleaning of watermarks would be pretty time consuming (even if it does have the potential to look pretty cool!). Any ideas?

If you have Instagram have a look at Grillodesigns - all of her interiors content is based on renting. Her home looks lovely.

I don't see why you couldn't use command strips! They don't leave marks if you use them properly and if it does cause a couple of marks you can paint over it once the tenancy ends.
Xxx

I used command strips in my old place and they took a lot of plaster off the wall!

Command strips take the paint and often the plaster off the wall.

what about some easels op?

How about the Futon Company leaning ladder shelves? They’d work for smaller pieces www.futoncompany.co.uk/shop-by-product/furniture/leaning-ladder-storage.html

What about those Mix Tiles? Apparently they don't leave a mark. Not used them myself though so can't swear to that!

The only problem with easels is that they take up a large amount of space and I have quite a lot of pictures and paintings. I have some small spaces on the floor that I can stand some in quite an artistic way, however so at least that's something.

Even if I could use them I'm not a big fan. I think they look a bit tacky (sorry) - am not a big fan of canvas style art, and it doesn't help massively re how I display the stuff I already have

Don't be sorry! I haven't used them either, just trying to think of options 🤔 I like the 'ladders' linked above.

Buy those 3M Command adhesive hooks, they are incredibly strong and don't create holes.

Open shelving unit -something like this, to prop your art on. Maybe leave out a shelf for larger pieces. What I've really got in mind is the "string" stuff but it's very expensive and needs anchoring to the wall.

Some narrow console tables against the wall?!
