Matching two/three seater sofa and matching recliner

I am really struggling to find a sofa and matching recliner for my elderly Mum who is moving in the next few months. Her current furniture is falling to bits!

Possibly dark grey or dark brown. Dunlem/IKEA pricing. I have looked and looked and they don’t seem to have the same colour in each item. Must be a recliner especially for the feet. Not so worried about the back tiling back. Her current one doesn’t go back (because it’s broken!).

Also how difficult are the media/storage units from IKEA to put together? Will I end up murdering someone if my son and I try to have a go?

I have so much to do to help her move so any ideas would be fab. Thanks in advance.

We put together IKEA media/storage units, coffee table etc and IKEA bedroom furniture when my mum moved into sheltered accommodation. It was the best for the small spaces and we got faster after doing the first one so not too bad at all. She is really pleased with it because it is modern and helps it look less small and the carers like her trendy pad! She chose a recliner (display item) from www.hslchairs.com/chairs/ I think they have a couple of shops with returns, ex display etc in the North West but definitely worth going to any of the shops if you want a bargain, not just booking a home visit
My mum chose a patterned fabric chair from HSL and then picked a cheaper sofa from Argos in a plain fabric that matched. As she is mostly on her own and sits in the chair the cheaper sofa was fine. It is hard work but my best advice is to start early sorting through stuff if she is moving somewhere smaller- my mum had at least three of everything you only need one of (or don't need at all!). It can be hard to move but it has been positive and I hope you and your mum enjoying the fun bits.

Try DFS. They have a wide selection.

Thank you all, I do need to go and see a few things. I dont have an IKEA near me or her but they sound like the way to go. We have a handyman we use and if this all comes about then we should probably use him. One of the items at IKEA had 41 screws!

The recliners dont need to be anything medical. I suggested a nice armchair and footstool but she said where would her feet go? I know... its all a bit much but so is her current house
