Struggling to find extra long curtains needed for a French door and to keep the draught out.

Anyone know where I might find?

Me too. I've been looking on eBay but can't find anything suitable. I googled old threads and found Dunelm was recommended but not sure you'll get 3m long. Maybe someone else will be along with some suggestions soon.

@whiskeyfoxtrotcharlie - checked Dunelm and longest seems 274cm. The idea is to exclude draught so being short won’t do.

Yes, 274cm/108in seems to be the standard 'extra long' measurement. My door is 285cm but quite narrow. If I can't find curtains, I am planning to buy lengths of 2mm thick wool felt and to hang it from those speedy curtain clips you can buy in J Lewis.

Thanks for that tip! May have to borrow it!

Just found this and seems a good price. I’m not into sewing but think I could fold one end and stitch it in place to make a tab at the top through which to run the existing pole.

Wondering how stiff it will be and if it will fall in folds?

This fabric looks great and I think your plan sounds good. I'd make them a bit longer (3 - 6cm, or more) so that they puddle on the floor to stop drafts. They might benefit from curtain weights, which you insert into a bottom hem, but you might not need them. You could try without and hem if necessary. Ask if you can buy 3.25 metres and you might get away with needing to cut.
You'll need between 1.5 and 2 times the width.
One last thing: I've found that the light behind tweed curtains "bleeds" the colour from them (not literally) so best to be bold with colour choice.
Stay cosy! 😁

Have you checked Dunelm M2M?

Just fitted out our new house with their products as we were so impressed with them at our old place.
Don't know if the 3M measurement is a problem but you can only ask.
Not the cheapest but they have a huge range and the quality is top notch.

We usually go for a heavy material with blackout lining, turns the room dark with just a hint of light bleed around the edges (the use of shutter blinds as well reduces this to almost nil).
Only issue is to make sure your pole / rail can support the weight.

Just butting in to say these curtains will be very heavy so make sure you have proper fixings for the rail!

I had curtains made for a huge window from 24/7 curtains and I'm very happy with them, I've bought 3 blinds from there too. Much much cheaper than dunelm - I paid £300 ish vs £800+ quoted by dunelm.

Voyage Outlet online fo 3m long, but the designs vary considerably - some are much more appealing than others....
Theyre well made with curtain weights etc, but not interlined.

You can buy curtains this long either second hand or premade on eBay. Search for extra long curtains. All our windows are this long so I share your curtain searching pain. IKEA used to do some this length so might be worth checking there.
