Little en suite in 1810s cottage - colour ideas please!

We had some work done in our en suite last year and are finally getting round to having the loose ends tidied up (little bit of filling, lots of sanding, and painting everything).

It's a tiny room (no more than 2x2m), with no natural light. Wall tiles are white. Floor tiles are grey and white, inoffensive pattern.

Previously the walls have been painted very pale pink, and the woodwork ivory (or is it just old and grubby white?). I don't hate this, but wonder if something slightly bolder would work (I like bold!)

Does anyone have any thoughts or inspiration? Am I kidding myself that anything other than white or nearly white would work here?

Thanks in advance!

If all else is plain go for the wildest wallpaper you can , such fun in tiny loo . I'd go for tropical birds and flowers

Just go for it with something spectacular - it'll make it feel luxurious rather than utilitarian.

I was in a nice green and pink bathroom recently , bit like this. www.goodhomesmagazine.com/bathroom/pink-green-loft-conversion-bathroom/

I'd go one wall in a dark riotous wallpaper and remaining walls in a dark colour from the wallpaper. Ensure that you've got good lighting (preferably more than one source) to counteract the gloom

We have a tiny windowless ensuite in our 1870s cottage and recently decided to go bold using this www.woodchipandmagnolia.co.uk/products/rivington-in-black
We used the paper on one wall and the green paint on the others. It looks amazing and feels like a proper room rather than plain and functional.
Have fun with it!

Thank you all so much!

I got very excited about the idea of wallpaper, but my handyman has strongly recommended avoiding it, as the ventilation's not great in there and the shower makes it quite steamy. He doesn't think the wallpaper would stand up to it.

I'm now thinking pale pink walls and a nice green on the woodwork (inspired by the link a PP posted - THANK YOU!)

But because I can never make a decision about anything, I expect a few more weeks of indecision and endless online clicking before I actually nail something down...

I love both those suggestions posted upthread. I'm surprised by the pink and green one, it's lovely and that black patterned wallpaper is gorgeous
