Kitchen plan, how could this be improved?

This is my kitchen plan, albeit with the patio doors on the end wall not the side. It's starting to get very tired and appliances are breaking, it needs work. The ff is integrated but I'm not sure if we'd be better off with a freestanding one. One with cold water and ice chips on tap would be a dream. I'm stumped as to how we would fit it all though with a dining table as well. Currently have a six seat rectangular table in there, this may need to change. I'm struggling to know how to make the best of the space, just go for new appliances and keep as is or change the layout to make it more efficient?

How do you find the sink on the peninsula? We're moving to a house with one and I think it looks odd but won't be able to redo the kitchen for some time.

If possible I'd switch to a freestanding FF. They have much better storage volume and easier to replace. It just cost us £450 to get a new integrated FF fitted as we had to get one to match the cupboard doors. New house has freestanding American style with cold water and ice cubes, it might be the thing I am most excited about!

We're doing our kitchen at the moment too. You've confirmed you can have a FF next to the oven, so thanks for that! The space behind the door seems dead space. Could that be used at all? Can you adjust that door to slide or fold to give you access to the space behind it?

Would a standalone cooker, rather than a split hob and integrated oven, work better for you I wonder as it would allow you to adapt some of your low leve lcupboards into a larder, for example, to make better use of the space.

OK, there is a dead corner between the sink and the dishwasher. Can you put a cupboard door on the dining room side of that as storage? Or shuffle things about so you can have a pull out-round the corner cupboard there?
Can you put the oven under the hob, and then a larder cupboard nearer the door than the oven stack currently is, and fit another cupboard and a bit more work surface along that run?

Are the kitchen windows full height? Could you have worksurface and cupboards under the window, and have a U shaped kitchen?

My kitchen is 3m by 3m and after lots of different plans the U shape was the best by far for work surface area and storage. Depends on your window though.

Yes, that cupboard is dead space. It's got shelves in but it's only got a 15cm door!
Never thought of putting a cupboard to back on to it.

If your patio doors are on the end wall behind the dining area then you could ditch the peninsular and open up the whole room with a U shape but with a much longer right arm. You could take the kitchen right down to the patio doors. Can you put units under the window? A sink & d/w cupboards or w/m if no utility room? On the left leg and behind the door you could have floor to ceiling units incorporating oven & pull out larder. On the opposite leg (r) you can have a longer run of floor units and above counter units giving you a long worktop, maybe ending with a freestanding fridge freezer. The door into the kitchen could be turned to open the other way and towards your dining area. You could turn the table length ways and even have a banquette. There’s lots of options. If you’re up for a total redesign I’d visit a few high end kitchen shops for some layout ideas. Go with your measurements and sit down with them. A modern one and a more traditional. Just to give you some ideas of potential layout and the use of the whole room. You don’t have to buy your kitchen from them.

I'm confused. Are the patio doors bottom of the layout where it currently looks like a window? And patio doors as featured are actually just wall?

If so, your kitchen is in the wrong place. If possible I would flip it and make it a ushaped kitchen and our dining area by patio doors. The current layout isn't great. Is there much storage space? I say that because it's similar to my current layout and it drives me mad! I do love our peninsula though. I would also go for freestanding fridge.
