Can someone just tell us what to do with our bathroom rennovations?

We have two small bathrooms that need renovating and both DH and I are going around in circles with the choices we need to make.
The quotes we have atm don't include fittings.
We are a family of 6 but our two older kids are away at uni during term time. So bathrooms get quite heavy use.
We have one bathroom with just a shower and the other has a bath/ shower combo. The bath is not full sized but we want to keep it as it's nice to have a soak now and again. Both bathrooms include toilets and we have another toilet downstairs.
We have to decide on a colour scheme- we don't care but don't want something 'weird' or trendy. So probably just white?
Tiles or aquaboards or a combination of both?
What flooring will not be slippery or get damaged when someone drops something?
Would anyone recommend a sink unit with a drawer or two, instead of cupboards with shelves?
We just want someone to tell us what to do!

Pic attached is a stone effect porcelain. It's rough textured so is non slip, it's the dreaded soon-to-be-dated grey but has variety of tones and some brown veining. (It's 8 yrs old b&q "indus" so probably not available anymore sorry). I think as long as your whole house isn't grey on grey on grey then a bathroom is a natural place for this colour. My sister has two expensive looking bathrooms with Ikea "godmorgen" drawer units in white gloss. They look more expensive than they are because she chose higher-end taps etc. Bathrooms are serviceable rooms where money needs to be spent on durable materials, they're allowed to be dull. And you can always ring the changes with bright towels.

We have godmorgen with dual sink (everyone needs to leave the house at the same time, lots of teeth get brushed simultaneously). I agree with PP, good taps and big porcelain tiles - keep it crisp

We have large porcelain tiles. Wall hung loo and vanity and patterned LVT floor. Tiny bathroom but we love it now.

I have a tiny bathroom so had shower panels put on all walls so its more of a wet room. This also kept the cost down as they were super quick to fit and we didnt have to repair the walls behind them after taking the tiles off.
I have white panels with a silver string down them on 3 walls and then a grey concrete effect on the long edge of the bath wall. LVT on the floor, and then I 'plastic' panel ceiling (not sure if its actually plastic. It looks clean and with some nice green plants on the window sill.

Hi OP. My bathroom renovations start on Monday so I've recently been through all the decision making and it was tough (so many options!)

In the end I sourced all the materials myself and got a joiner onboard who is bringing with him a plumber and an electrician for certain parts of the job.

Our current set up is an ensuite and a main bathroom. One room has a shower/toilet/sink, the other has a bath/toilet/sink. The layout doesn't work for us and the ensuite is tiny (it wasn't put in well by previous owners.

I've decided to knock both bathrooms into one bigger bathroom. There will be a nice 1000*1000mm shower cubicle, a free standing roll top bath, a toilet and vanity/sink and extra cupboard. Oh and a nice big heated towel rail/radiator. The units are a dark green colour and the toilet and sink fit into these. Marbled white metro tiles will be used behind sink, toilet and bath area and go half way up the wall. The rest of the walls will be painted white.

In the shower, I have sourced really good quality pvc shower walls (I went through a lot of samples before deciding on the right design/texture.) I ended up with a marble effect in Matt finish. I was tempted by the wood core shower walls but they were nearly £300 a board and I couldn't quite bring myself to spend that much. The PVC ones were about £80 a board. The shower door is black framed with an easy clean coating. I hoping this means less water build up but I'll still squeegee it after every shower.

For the flooring, I went with a stone effect fully waterproof lvt. It's like a nice coffee colour and I'd textured so non slip and ideal for bathroom usage.

The fixtures/materials are just over £3000 and the fitting comes in at just over £4000 for all the labour (it's quite a big job as a wall needs to come down and the plumbing needs redoing.)

I've saved about £1000 as I'm keeping the old bath, but I'm changing all the taps/waste etc to brass to match the new bits in the bathroom.

My only advice would be to steer clear of Better Bathrooms.
