Are grey kitchens going out of trend?

Hi all, we are trying to decide colours for kitchen at present and despite dreaming about this for 2years I now cannot decide on a colour. I lean more towards light bright and fresh but we have had two cream kitchens and are current one in new house is cream too albeit it's more of a banana cream/ pale yellow. I love all the navy and green but I wouldn't be brave enough to go so dark and so at risk of dating quickly. However are grey kitchens on the way out?

I've been viewing houses and have seen a lot of grey, navy and dark green. Often a grey kitchen with a navy island added to keep up with the trends, although it often doesn't look great.

I'd either go with oak or walnut or something, or else an off white or taupe-y type colour. Classic rather than trend.

There were a lot of grey kitchens in Howdens this week. And a few other colours but the majority are grey

Ours is a Howdens kitchen, matt not gloss.

Another vote for grey here, it's just a neautral like a pp said. My kitchen is more of a darker grey with gold hardware and a herringbone tiled floor and everyone that comes to my home loves my kitchen ☺️

I have never understood grey. You can literally have any colour you like - and people choose grey. Boring and uninspiring. Choose a colour that makes you happy when you look at it.

DD wanted green , very on trend now, but it was more expensive than ivory. She went with ivory and beautiful olive green, hand cut, glossy tiles and pale olive walls. She now has a beautiful “green” kitchen that is less likely to date and can be changed relatively cheaply to another colour in years to come.

Yes I always found it quite glum as a choice, an anti-colour. But people apparently find it restful as it is so neutral. I think it can depend on the grey chosen, the quality of the items and how far you take it - once you have grey carpet, sofa AND walls it looks completely weird.

But I have never bought it myself as I still get a stupid teenage rebellion thing once something is generic I can't buy it anyway and grey caught on pretty fast!

We went in to order a grey kitchen, ended up ordering sage.

I'm toying the idea of a pastel blue kitchen. I had navy in my last house. Fancy something brighter and it looked really fresh in the showroom I saw it in . It might date, but tbh if you like something then who cares really?
