Wallpapering advice

Advice would be hugely welcomed.

I have a curved wall in a hallway which currently has a mural on it that we want to change. The wallpaper I have chosen is a paste the wall one from John Lewis. The wall is 3.1m long and 2.6m high with one side into a 90 degree angle and the other end is a shallow obtuse angle which will not be papered.

I am quite handy but haven't got much wallpapering experience.

  1. Do. you think I can do this myself?
  2. If yes, should I start in the middle with a plumb line and if so how easy is it to cleanly cut the wallpaper at the end of the wall?
  3. What is the danger of actually using the end of the wall as the start point?
  4. I've used an online calculator which says I need 3 rolls but would you buy 4 and return one unopened if the project is successful?
Any pointers would be really welcomed?

Thanks

Yes to buying extra wallpaper. As to the rest - yes you can do it yourself, use a sharp, clean Stanley knife for cutting, and watch YouTube for hints and tips etc.
Starting at one end is tempting, but unless you are very lucky with the width of the wall, in that it takes exactly x number of full drops, it’s will look wrong/odd. So take the time to mark up the wall properly first. Do it right first time and do it once and it’ll cost you less than if you skip the prep.
(Personally I hate wall papering so would leave it to a professional and consider it an investment in my MH. )
