Ikea wardrobe configuration - all 100cm wide or some 50cms?

I'm putting a run of 375cm of Ikea Pax wardrobes across a wall. The middle one will need to be 100cm wide as I'm planning on putting the TV in it and one will obviously be 75cm wide but I'm not sure if I should just get 2 more 100cm wide ones or a couple of 50cm wide ones.

If you have wardrobes like these what configuration do you have?

Depends how you want to use them, I think. In a bedroom, I'd prefer 2 x 100cm with a long clothes hanger, and then add some partitions at the bottom with drawers / smaller storage spaces. I think you get more room that way.

However, if you prefer smaller wardrobes with cubbyhole type shelves, 50cm is the answer. Cubbyholes /shelves would be more useful for storage if it's going in a loving room.

I'd design it on online pax designer, print it out and just write what would be stored where in your idea. It will help the design.

yes depends what you want inside. I find the 50cm drawers a bit of an annoying width - too narrow for 2 rows of clothes but too wide for 1. And 60cm is quite deep for shelving that's only 50cm wide, especially if it's high up. It is well worth going and having a play in store if you can. Figure out how you want to use it. I wanted lots of shelves and drawers so we went with 75cm mainly.

Designers in ikea were great at advising us with the best set up for pax wardrobes. I love the finished design for my sons room.

We have 2x50cm and a 100cm for ours. We have 2 hanging rails in the 100cm and then one 50cm is full length hanging and the other shelving. It works for what we wanted, the designer was great with sorting what we wanted.

We had this dilemma, went for then 50cm ones and I love it. Clearly delineates what is where.
Also adds structural support in a long run.

I think the 75cm ones only fit sliding doors not regular doors so look out for that. There is an online planner on the ikea website that works well.

We have 2 x 50cm ones and 2 x 100cm ones. The two big ones each have 2 hanging rails and a high shelf - they're used for mine and DH's tops and trousers. One of the 50cm ones have a raail, high shelf and 3 wire drawers - that one's for dresses and T-shirt/tops that don't need hanging. The other 50cm one has mostly shelves and then 4 wire drawers - used for mine and DH's jumpers and shorts. The high shelves are used for shoe storage. We then used a mix of mirrored and plain doors....

If you want any shelves, go for 50cm. We found that the shelves in the wider ones started to bend in the middle even without much weight on them - they're only held on with tiny pegs.
