So we are just graduating from Duplo to Lego
With the duplo we had it all in one big box and then we cut the boxes down to keep the pictures and the instructions for each set in a plastic wallet

Dd is now starting to get afew Lego city sets - this time I'm trying to keep them in their sets so they're n the right box but the boxes are about 4 times bigger than they need to be. Does anyone have any ideas or willing to show me their Lego storage solutions. Also the boxes once open don't seem to close which is weird.

Really useful storage boxes are good so you can stack them. I very much doubt that they will be kept as sets. I say this from experience. My kids have had a lot of sets and they all ended up together.

My daughter know displays her lego sets but she is a lot older.

Don't bother keeping boxes. If I am keeping sets together I use strong zip up food bags with a label on with the set name and number and then keep those in various plastic boxes or drawers. Instructions either go in the bag or in a separate box file if they are the bigger instruction booklets.
But of course part of the fun is not keeping sets together and just re building into something else.

Got tired of tripping up over Lego all over the house so it’s now all in this play mat / bag. It’s great - easy to move around and you could keep your sets in there too (in food bags as PP suggested). Takes up less space than boxes! £10 on Amazon.
