Refurbed household appliances

I am looking at refurbs for a relative who has just got a house. Appliances Direct sell cookers and washers which are specifically what she needs. They come in good to fair condition, and the prices seem really good.
Has anyone bought a cooker or washer this way and if so was it a success? I notice they have 0% finance also.
I suppose I am wondering what happens if the appliance breaks down after purchase - hence my question
Thanks

I don’t know the company you mentioned but in the past we’ve bought a refurbed cooker and tall fridge. We bought them from a charity shop that sold electrical appliances. They were in perfect condition and the big fridge was a Smeg. The man in the shop said they were out the same house and the lady was moving to a care home. I think we got either a three month or six month warranty with them. In fact the fridge is still going strong as I gave it to my sister when we moved. The charity shops that take electrical goods test them for safety before they’re sold and of course they’re much cheaper than new. I would think if you’re buying on the knock you just have to make sure you aren’t getting ripped off on the interest rate, make sure you get some kind of guarantee, and Google reviews on the dealer. Good luck !

Look at Freecycle and Freegle if you are ok with second hand and free. You might need to enlist a friend with a van. I can't remember when I last bought new furniture. I need to replace my freezer so might get a refurbished one.

I found a nice table lamp and an extension lead left out in the street. The lamp was missing a shade but working, and the ext. lead had a loose connection

I am not looking for free items or for items from a charity shop. I was asking if anyone had bought from Appliances Direct. It is a reputable UK based company. I want a warranty which I won't get from charity shops !

Thanks

Ive used them for a washing machine, tumble dryer and dyson. All really good and like brand new. Working perfectly one year on.

@Bunty55 , you won't be wanting to read about my almost new Miele white goods I got then. 5 yrs on and still going strong. Free apart from paying friend with van diesel money.

No.. the goods are for my daughter and I need warranties in case anything goes wrong.
