Recommend me a paint that'll do for my entire house please

I'm looking for a warm, bright, rich cream shade I think. I almost want to say 'clotted cream' but I don't want it to be yellow! Just deep, rich and not dark

I want it to be suitable for the whole house. We currently have very pale grey and a magnolia type cream and I'm keen to come away from that but do not want the hassle of different shades in different rooms

Whole house is quite light in feel and look anyway

So any suggestions for me please?

Ah I was going to suggest magnolia

canichange · 28/03/2022 19:27

My entire house is Crown Antique Cream. The undertone is green and in the morning light this is much stronger, but it's basically just a warm white. I used the washable version so it's a bit shiny (small kids live here) but overall I'm very pleased with it.

Sheepskin by Zoffany

We use Jasmine White silk in several rooms and really like it- might not be rich/dark enough for you though.

Needcoffeeimmediatley · 29/03/2022 10:03

Dulux timeless

Gardenia

Farrow and Ball Wimborne White. Perfect, nice and bright and not too yellow. But still enough depth of colour.

I have a colour match of School House White throughout all of my house, walls/skirtings/ceilings the lot

dontgobaconmyheart · 02/04/2022 21:12

It might not be dark enough, but I was also going to suggest Dulux Timeless. When we moved in we had practically the whole house replastered and just wanted a good true neutral with no blue/yellow/grey undertones.

The first few we tried were awful so bought Timeless on a whim and ended up repainting everything in it for the timebeing and all like it so much we weren't really in any rush to change it even though we do plan to in the longer term.

Agree with Timeless or Jasmine White (they're both Dulux and virtually identical).

Brunonono · 02/04/2022 21:23

We've used Dulux almond white a few times for an off-white neutral

PermanentTemporary · 02/04/2022 21:29

I used Timeless through the entire house and love it but I'm not sure it's creamy enough for you. Does Lily White still exist? That was a lot creamier.

rollinghillz · 14/04/2022 19:36

Fukui timeless

rollinghillz · 14/04/2022 19:36

I mean Dulux Timeless!

justaweeone · 15/04/2022 20:52

Timeless

Our entire house is one colour. I love the ease of it. Friends have done the same and have what we call "gallery white" walls throughout which looks stunning. Whatever you choose will be nice I'm sure!

What colour is your woodwork (doors/frames/skirting)? I sometimes find that “cream” walls can look like white that has gone off colour.

Id go for white woodwork, with something like Portland Stone Pale or Light (Little Green Paint) on the walls. Gives a crisp contrast, still neutral for then adding colour with soft furnishings.

VaVaVoombangabang · 16/04/2022 03:46

I have Clotted Cream (Crown) in a couple of rooms, not yellow more of a deeper cream. Dont know if you can still get it.

ThePoetsWife · 16/04/2022 07:47

Egyptian cotton by dulux.

Timeless has a slight yellow tint in some lights.

Almond white is also a good option.

Or you could go for pure brilliant white.

WeAreTheHeroes · 16/04/2022 09:38

We have Timeless on the ceiling and frieze in a very sunny bedroom. I was going to use it in the hall, stairs and landing however have found it doesn't go with the wallpaper we've chosen as that has an ochre background and Timeless is slightly brown when tested against it. Almond White is noticeably more beige, but still a light neutral. I have found the Dulux Vizualiser very accurate in terms of showing what colours look like in different rooms and different light conditions.

Oddbutnotodd · 16/04/2022 11:28

I have barley white and timeless in my house. Timeless is much paler. Barley white is nice and warm.

Heronwatcher · 16/04/2022 17:40

You could try slaked lime or Portland stone from little greene, I think both come in a pale/ light version.

Housetreecar · 16/04/2022 17:48

I have Old white, it’s a warm greenish cream. I love it

Another vote for LG slaked lime. It’s taking over my house as I repaint rooms. Warm yet somehow airy.
