Navy kitchen?

We've been looking at the ikea navy kitchen for our extension.
But once we team it with wooden worktops it begins to look dark... yet white worktops look too shiny (never happy!)
I have white metro tiling, flooring is undecided. It's quite a big area, goes into the living area/dining bit too which is much lighter.
Any htoughts?

Have you had a look on Pinterest? I actually think that the images of navy kitchens with white worktops on there look quite fresh!

We have a dark green kitchen with marble effect quartz worktops that aren't too white (the whiter they are, the more expensive!) and I think it looks good. Floor will be wood effect karndean when it finally gets laid so overall will look warm but not dark as the walls are white and we have bit windows

I have navy units and walnut butcher block worktops in my laundry room. It doesn’t look dark with a pale floor and off white walls

We have a navy kitchen with white marble tops, red quarry tiles and lots of brass. It looks great but the dark colour shows up fingerprints on all the cupboards and any little chips in the wood show. It's about 4 years old now and really needs a freshen-up.

The chipping and scratching is a good point about navy. It’s very visible. Dc both had navy bedroom walls for years and they were a nightmare and had to be touched up far more frequently than rooms with pale walls

We have navy units with a white marble worktop and upstand, it looks lovely! (I think!)

I hadn't thought about the chipping...
I quite like the look of a mid grey, darker than lighter.

So if I had wooden worktops, what colour floor? I had looked at karndean. I don't want to try to hard ot match woods, if you know what I mean?

To be fair if it’s the ikea navy kitchen, it’s not a painted surface so chipping isn’t as likely to be an issue. I have that same range in my dressing room and it isn’t a painted finish.

My floor is limestone. I think a dark floor too might actually look too dark
