Ideas? Window treatment over bath

So just moved into new home. Money quite tight. I have a downstairs 2nd bathroom that has a window at the end of the bath/shower over bath
The glass is obscured so during the day it is private and modest. But at night with the light on anyone looking in would be able to make out shapes/shadows.
Now I thought it wasn’t too much of an issue as only overlooked by neighbours upstairs windows, but a guest did express some concerns. So I need some sort of additional treatment to use at night
It has to be waterproof, it’s at the other end of the bath from the shower but it will get wet. And I’d prefer that can be opened during the day. It’ll only be needed when I have a bath at night (rare) or guest staying over.

I can’t afford shutters- so ruled out…although I do like the effect
I am reluctant to drill fixtures into the walls as tiled all around and inside the recess and only window up UPVC frames not tiled, but accept may need to do this if it is the best solution
I was thinking of something on a tension rod inside the recess, so it can be easily removed to dry/clean
I looked at shower curtains- but they’re way too big- window is about 70 cm wide by 70cm drop.
I do have a sewing machine so could adjust them.
But before I do this does anyone else have ideas of how I could get that night time privacy?

Is there a window sill? I'd fill it with pot plants. Nice leafy ones. They will benefit from the moisture and provide privacy too.

I do have a plant about 4ocm high , but because it’s a raised bath it’d only cover up to the knees of whoever was stood in the shower, leaving all the curvy bits on display😳 I’m not mad about houseplants tbh, they always end up looking messy to me and need to be looked after. As the bathroom isn’t used much except as a loo it isn’t humid except for a few days occasionally. But it may work with some fake plants ?🤔😱. Would you think a few plants would cover your dignity at night…I’m not sure….

You could cut a shower curtain to size, keeping the top intact to use on a tension rod. If it's a washable ripstop nylon type you could use your sewing skills to hem it- it would probably come in white or a plain colour. If it's a heavy vinyl you'd be able to just do a really strong straight edge with a craft knife. If you choose a highly patterned vinyl you wouldn't want it to be billowy.

I got a cheap roller blind, Took the blind fabric bit off the toilet tube, cut a piece of thick plastic table cloth to the right size and stuck it onto the roller tube with some strong glue. Hey presto waterproof roller blind. It's now 10 years old and works brilliantly

Toilet tube = roller tube!

Yes, it does seem a waste of so much fabric , however yes I could do that and the tension rod would work

How did you attach roller blind to window- did you have to drill? That is what I was hoping to avoid because it is all tiled

Would one of these perfect fit blinds work in this situation? They fit inside the window frame, covering just the glass area.

Ooo, that’s interesting..I’ll take a look to see if they’re water repellant, it becuase they sit against the window more they’ll not get as wet
Thanks 😌
