Where might I get this red-brick fireplace?

I am looking to replace an old, not particularly attractive red-brick fireplace in our living room with a narrower one, not least because it's quite wide and when we do the electrics, I think a plug or two might be needed on either side.

But I can't seem to find any such thing on the internet. Admittedly, this kind of fireplace is the sort you'd see in a pub with large beams across the ceiling, it sometimes pops up on the Paper Preview; a journalist might have one like it. The problem admittedly is that it can look a bit old fashioned, not quite wood chip walls but it's hard to find a paint tone to go with it. That said, I'd like to continue with a red brick one if I can.
This picture popped up in an advert for arts and crafts and not fireplaces. But I can't find anything like it anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas? I live in the South East, btw.

Can you get someone to build you one from reclaimed bricks?

NewspaperTaxis · 27/07/2021 13:46

Not sure, I thought they came ready made but of course it's no different in principle to a brick wall.

Sorry, oddly and unprecedentedly, the scanned picture of the fireplace - seen on an add for British Craftworks in a newspaper - would not upload, saying it's too large, though my original post went through anyway.

Am I right in thinking Mumsnet is having trouble uploading pics today?

Okay, how about this? Yep, that's it! Anyone know where I'd get that?

It looks like something that you would
Build rather than something you would buy ifyswim?

Hi. You have it built. Mine is similar but I have black/grey bricks. I also have the log burner rather than an electric fire. You need a builder to sort the fire place out and install the fire for a log burner along with a specialist to check the chimney and flue or an electrician if you opt for an electric fire x

whatthejiggeries · 27/07/2021 21:41

Yep you have to build it

Bluesheep8 · 28/07/2021 18:15

Built not bought

NewspaperTaxis · 02/08/2021 22:34

Hmm, are there specialist builders who do this? I wish I could get it 'off the peg', so to speak! I sort of imagine phoning someone up and their going 'Oh yeah, I reckon I can have a bash at it...' Incidentally, how much would you pay for a fireplace like that?

Is it going on to a chimney breast or on to a wall, if you're having it mounted /built into a chimney breast the chances are it was already brick work that you ciukd use underneath plasterboard / existing fire if it's an old house.
Either way around is definitely something you have built rather than bought
