Google tells me it's possible but I wondered if anyone has actually done this and it has worked?
I've got a huge rown of built in wardrobe doors that look really dated and a bit naff. The cost of replacing to doors is about £650 and I had a quote for £600 to get them sprayed so I wondered if it's worth trying the time sanding priming and painting them to try and save the pennies much needed elsewhere.

We painted ours 3 years ago and they’re as good as new. We used Owatrol ESP primer (from Amazon) and then rollered over the top. The only issue is where OH got a bit carried away and there are roller marks in the paint.

We used a narrow gloss roller that’s really fine and gave us a good finish. For about £50 we got a completely new look.

We didn’t bother to do the inside of the doors but because that’s a dark wood effect it stands out quite a bit so I wish we’d done that too at the time (no way I’m taking the doors off etc again)

With the Owatrol you don’t need to sand first, unless there’s surface texture you want to get rid of.

I'm currently looking at French Chic Lazy Range for my kitchen cupboard doors.
It's non priming and self levelling.

I did ours, a whole floor to ceiling wall of plain white melamine. Nothing wrong with them except that they looked horrible. We’d been quoted £3500 to replace them.

I rubbed them down, 2 coats of cream cupboard paint and changed all the handles. Complete transformation - total cost £65.
