Hob splashback

Hi hope I've posted in the right place. I'm getting a new kitchen fitted in a couple of months. Currently the plan is not to tile all the splashbacks but just have a splashback behind the hob. I love this look but worry that the walls either side of the splashback could get splashes during cooking and therefore be difficult to keep clean. If any of you have a splashback like this what is your feedback.

The walls to the side of the splash back will definitely get splashed with oil and water. If you can, get a glass splash back on all of the wall behind the hob and on either side.

We have no splashback or tiles and I do not find it difficult to clean the grease of the walls. Bathroom/ kitchen paint is very resilient, I wouldn't worry.

I do find it difficult to clean splashes and grease off paint, even though it is kitchen paint. My kitchen needs repainting as a result.

Bought a house, the kitchen has splashbacks rather than tiles. I was a bit mmmm.. about it at first. OMG no more scrubbing tiles, trying to get the grout clean, a game changer along with the glass hob.

For that kitchen you have shown I'd get it all the way across. Probably a clear glass though.

My splashback is much like the one shown. I don't find too much gets on the walls next to it (I use the front rings more than the back except for gentle simmering) but it's scrubbable paint so not a problem.

Thanks for all your comments. I think I will go along with my original plan and tile the splashback later on if I find I hate it!

Ours is a bit similar idea. Grease etc is fine, it’s tomatoey sauces that are a bastard to remove!
