Help with white paint

If you were painting the whole of your downstairs in one white paint, what's the best to pick? Some very bright areas, some dark areas. Preferably a dulux shade. I'm going to get samples now

I like Dulux Jasmine White. It has a hint of yellow in it, which stops it from looking too cold

Depends.I have a very modern open plan house so it's pure brilliant white for a clean look .What is your house like?

Jasmine always looks like magnolia paint to me. Avoid Rock Salt, it’s basically blue-grey.

We’ve got Dulux Timeless and it’s lovely, like milk. I’ve done Brilliant White before but it’s definitely more modern, as PP said – my house is late Victorian so needs something less stark. My one tip/demand is to paint ceilings and walls the same shade, and woodwork too, otherwise your eye chops up the space into different shades of white.

Here’s my non-outing Timeless ceiling (the shadows are from the bay window, not a dodgy paint mural).

We have just painted a dark office in B & Q own brand pure white emulsion
We painted a yellow pine ceiling , some stone walls and some plastered walls
It’s very good , our house was built in 1830 , and the office is a 1980s very bad extension, we’ve used the same paint everywhere

I’m doing slaked lime (little greene) throughout the downstairs. It looks different in every room because of the different light.

Thank you for the comments. Our house is a typical 1930s semi, with a large extension. The hallway and lounge are quite traditional, but the open plan living/dining/kitchen are more modern. In the end, I didn't have enough time to try loads of samples because the decorator was coming at short notice, so I just told him to get dulux Timeless, which is what we have on the walls currently. We have brilliant white for the skirting/door frames/picture rail and above to the ceilings (the open plan room doesn't have the picture rail).
@burritofan because we have the picture rail, I prefer to have some contrast between the woodwork/ceilings and the wall.

I'm another for Jasmine White and I don't think it looks anything like magnolia!

Jasmine white looks quite different in different lights but is more creamy whereas I would say magnolia is more of a peach. Jasmine white appears to me like a paler/whiter version of timeless.

I have been pleased with dulux diamond trade white in our extension which is nice and modern but is less stark than brilliant white.
