Pull down bed recommendations?

Any recommendations for pull down bed systems? I'd prefer one that hinges along the length rather than depth, to allow cupboards above.

I have one from the London wall bed company. It’s one that swivels and folds down so you can keep everything in the cupboards when you need to use the bed.

Word is warning though. The cupboards abs shelves are A4 paper deep and no more. So you can’t actually fit folders in there. Wish I’d know that before!

But it’s a great bed overall. Expensive though.

@Kimye4eva thank you!

None of them are cheap are they? Good tip on actually paying attention to the depth of the cupboards. I can't decide if it's worth getting the unit with the cuoboards above it or just get the bed unit and use it a bit like a mantelpiece/shelf. It's for the box room which is now the office - after 13 months if a mattress upended and hiding boxes of clothes the kids have grown out of out of the view of zoom I want to sort it out.

Google studybed if you need an Office and a bed. We have one in our boxroom with the storage unit above. It's great.

@CaurnieBred unfortunately we have a standing desk in the room, otherwise I agree getting a combination would make sense.

We got mechanism from Wall Bed King. We're very happy with it - seems robust, was well priced (as wall beds go), and they were very helpful.

You can buy cabinets from them too, or I did find somewhere else that makes them (will dig out the link if you're interested), or you can do as we did and have a carpenter build something around them. The latter might be better for you if you want top cabinets, but might also be more expensive.

Also a caveat on the recommendation - no one has actually slept on ours yet (stupid lock downs/Tier 3), but I don't anticipate any issues. It's really sturdy.

NextBed might be worth looking at too - they have a few UK suppliers, and seem very well reviewed.

@QuantumWeatherButterfly thank you - I'll take a look.
