M&S are worth looking at. They currently have velvet cushions in jewel colours that are very good value.

TeaMeBasil · 06/03/2021 14:23

I try and buy from small independent businesses where I can. My current favourite for homewares is MW Home. They have gorgeous finishing touches and are online.

HighNetGirth · 06/03/2021 15:12

Anthropologie, Hay, Norman Copenhagen, SCP (only in the sale, it is ££££££££), Habitat, French Connection Home.

I think Zara home usually has some nice things.

tinofbeans · 06/03/2021 18:48

We've had some great stuff from Etsy - mirrors, desk, bedside cabinets

waltzingparrot · 07/03/2021 11:37

Not on the High Street and Amara

MozzchopsThirty · 07/03/2021 11:49

Watching with interest.

We've just bought a new house and DP has said I can decorate / dress pretty much as I please

tinofbeans · 07/03/2021 14:19

I've found some decent bits on Wayfair

1frenchfoodie · 07/03/2021 16:17

Really like Trouva.com - a storefront for 100s of small boutiques in the UK and wider Europe. Easy to use website and a mixof classic and more trendy / quirky bits.

Sainsbury's
Limited Abode
Rockett St George
Etsy

Tightwad2020 · 10/03/2021 22:00

Print Sisters - beautiful prints (doh!) and textiles. Currently got two prints to frame and hang and got my eye on a couple of cushions.

Etsy - I've bought frames, door knobs and handles, cupboard lining paper from there recently.

SCP/Skandium for when I'm feeling more flush (not recently).

Holloways of Ludlow/Heals for lighting.

If money were no object, Skinflint for reclaimed lighting. Fabulous pieces, but will just have to look., barring lottery win. But if £400 for a mid-century pendant from Soviet-era Czechoslovakia is in your ballpark, you won't find better.

Heals for bed linen. I wait for the sales.

Royal Design for lots of Scandi brands in textiles and ceramics.

Mad About the House is a design blog I enjoy and she (Kate Watson-Smythe) does a design store edit of fundamentals for each room and accessories.

1frenchfoodie · 02/04/2021 09:58

Loving the stuff at Skinflint @Tightwad2020 , the prices a bit less. Going on my when I win the lottery list too.

RingtheBells · 02/04/2021 19:34

OKA, I like to browse their website but mainly buy from Next, Wayfair and John Lewis as they are a bit cheaper.
