Sage green living room

My living room is south facing, and is currently very, very neutral!

I painted the downstairs toilet navy, and discovered that I actually do like some colour, so have been looking for something different for the living room.
My curtains are grey (would prefer not to change them, but not overly attached!) and sofas are kind of oatmeal-y.

I think green would be lovely, but not sure which ones are warm enough. Does anyone have any recommendations please?

Overtly olive by dulux. It's lovely

Crazzzycat · 10/01/2021 17:23

Farrow & Ball Cooking Apple Green is a lovely warm green, that would go well with your oatmeal sofas. It’s not really sage, but is lovely and fresh

We've got Crown Khaki Twist either side of the chimney breast. It's greener than what I would call sage, and not as beige as what I would call khaki. I really like it, obviously. We have a lot of plants and the rest of the room is cream with grey sofas.

F and B Mizzle is a lovely soft green, slightly sagey.

PolarnOPirate · 10/01/2021 17:30

(I mean that I think the greenery from the plants brings out the green, as when you google the paint it doesn't look like the paint on my walls)

Oh I really like both of those greens.

I’ve had Overtly Olive in my dining room before and loved it, but that was a darker room. I’ll get a sample and see what it’s like in here.

The Cooking Apple green does look like it’ll be good with the sofas.

I’ve never used F&B before, like the idea of a chalky finish.

Thank you Smile

I Love Mizzle!
I’m ordering some samples!

The Khaki Twist is lovely, but my living room has no features, so probably be a bit dark for all the walls. Jealous of your chimney breast!

We went with ‘sage green’ by Johnstone’s (I think we got it in b&m)
My son went to get some and couldn’t find it anywhere!
It is a lush sagey colour tho-our hallway looks lovely

I have two greens. One in the lounge- f&b french grey. One in the dining room f & b ball green. Both stunning.

We have a South facing living room with grey curtains. The green I choose is Morning Downpour in valspar Matt.

I’m not usually a F&B fan but Teresa’s Green is lovely.

Little Greene “acorn” is nice.

Cleverpolly3 · 11/01/2021 11:10

I had this in my old garden room and it was absolutely beautiful
It’s a lovely soft botanical kind of green but there are stronger and lighter shades too

So many nice greens to consider!

Thank you all for the recommendations, I will hopefully have a much more interesting room this time next month!

I have farrow ans ball french grey, which is green with a grey hint. Ifs like a darker sage green with grey tones, it’s really elegant.

SBAM · 11/01/2021 18:30

For a greener sage I like English mist (4) from dulux. I had it in my south facing kitchen diner at my old house and loved it

WellTidy · 12/01/2021 16:02

How dark would you go? We've done a chimney breast in Dulux Fresh Sage. It looks really nice against the other walls which are in F&B Joa's White.

Notthecarwashagain · 13/01/2021 17:09

Argh the F&B greens and greys are all so nice!

English mist too! I'm so conflicted! Grin

I don't want to go too dark, as it's a pretty boring square room , with nothing to really make a feature of- so probably will do all walls the same. Fresh sage is lovely though.
I want a chimney breast!

Green is actually very trendy and versatile colour! It goes well with many colours, so I'd recommend it! Here have some great tips and ideas I found -
