hello dears!
preparation time in christmas!
Tell me please, where did you buy the christmas tree? we wanted to buy a Christmas tree for a new apartment, but we haven't seen a suitable option yet. want an artificial (most likely) one that can be used for several years, medium size (about 3-4-5 feet). It is important that the tree is fluffy. But I saw mostly little fluffy ones on the Amazon, they don't look very attractive. Share the places where you bought the tree?
Desirable inexpensive :)

I bought mine from B&Q. They usually do a good range.

Mine was originally about £150, but as I left it really late, it was reduced to £7! A decade later it still looks great, so it’s possible that spending a little bit more on a tree actually pays off in the long term 🤔

Ours was £15 from Argos 20 years ago.

M&S and it is lovely and gets lots of compliments. It’s also prelit and super easy to put up and take down.

Balsam Hill, they're good value for money if you wait for the sale that starts on Boxing Day (not v helpful for this Christmas I'm afraid).

£10 in the Woolworths closing sale 12 years back. It's 7ft and fantastic.

£20 for an 8ft artificial from some random little electrical supplier online with free delivery! This was last year. It's fairly basic, think it was old stock they were clearing, but looks good once decorated. Was trying to find one in a rush last year as our extension was finished just before Xmas.
It's worth trying different search terms to see what you can find.

inappropriateraspberry · 07/12/2020 13:14

I'd recommend measuring out where the tree will fit - 3ft really isn't medium, I'd say that's a very small tree!

Try a "naice" garden centre. A good quality mid range brand is Everlands which are a Dutch company. I bought my five foot tree six years ago for £65 and it's still perfect should hopefully last another ten years at least. They have very good resale value on eBay too.

We have a real tree but a friend has one from Next Directory which is nice.

OnTheBenchOfDoom · 07/12/2020 13:25

Balsam Hill but they are expensive, if you fluff it as you are meant to it will look exactly like the beautiful photo of the tree on their website.

I did buy mine in the sale but still paid a lot for it. And it is definitely fluffy. Oooh there is a sale on, these are the on sale ones

We got ours from Cox and Cox a few years ago and its absolutely beautiful. We always had a real one but I wouldn't go back now.

thanks! actually found my tree in a nearby store by accident! it was ASDA! this is not an advertisement of course, i'm not happy with this store, but i was surprised at the cost - 20 pounds! 90-100 cm is written on the label. it is perfectly even and even in a pot! this is a real tree

Homebase 2 years ago, 8ft with 2 types of 'branch' (?) for about £80 I think. It's lovely and full.

Yes, I also recommend Homebase sales. Get in on Boxing Day and you should bag some bargains! They always seem to really knock down the prices.
