Curtain poles - help

It’s taken me 6 years to sort the house. Two of them I’ve spent trying to find curtain poles.
I found these and waited months for them to come in stock. I ordered 3 poles www.dunelm.com/product/brompton-35mm-antique-brass-globe-150cm-1000165443
Dunelm have let me down- all out of stock again.
Please help me find good quality curtain poles that will hand heavy curtains.
I’m useless at colour schemes and the reason I chose antique brass is that we have dark, low beams. My new curtains will be truffle colour with peacocks and the walls cream.
Please help with any inspiration or links to very good quality poles as I’m really struggling
Thank you

We had a metal pole made to order by a metal working company who does gates and things. It's perfect fit and was not local. They send a calculator thing to help you plan it

That sounds excellent! Can you remember the company’s name?

It isn't the poles, it is the fixing to the wall that will fail

I agree with 7to25.
Look on freebie sites like Freegle and Freecycle for curtain poles, they come up frequently.

I'll try and find the name. They supplied the fixings too and we paid someone to put them up

I got mine from here www.terrysfabrics.co.uk/collections/curtain-poles-and-tracks. Prices were very good. A someone said, it’s the fixings that are important. My brother fitted mine and they are very sturdy. Can’t remember what he used though

I was just about to add that fixing it to the walls is key, but pp have suggested that.
