We’re considering changing our stainless steel kitchen sink to a black one - but have been warned that they show all scuff/scratch marks. Does anyone have a black one & would you recommend them?

Yes I have a black composite one and it doesn’t scratch or show marks at all. I’ve had it five years plus now.

I’ve had stainless stew before and they clean up well but you have to do it regularly and they can also show scratching. My mum had a white porcelain one that she hated and said it was a marathon to keep clean and she also has a composite one now in black and never looked back.

I've had my black sink in for 7 years. Busy household so used several times a day, we have a dishwasher but don't even have a washing up bowl in the sinks and it still looks brand new.
No Mark's or scratches.

**That should say stainless steel sink

That’s good to hear, I’ve been wanting a black kitchen sink for ages & DH has been a bit hesitant as someone told him that they scratch & show marks too easily!

Just thought, we don’t have a dishwasher so we do use the sink to wash up in, but then I suppose we could always get a bowl. I know you can get cheaper ones & more expensive ones. I’ll take a look at the composite ones, eventually i’ll Get the kitchen looking how I want it, bit by bit!

I have a black granite composite sink. It looked lovely when new but our water is hard so it now has white marks which are impossible to remove. I think in a soft water area it would look nice but I wouldn't have another one here.
