How to baby proof a TV?

Hi, woild love some ideas on how I can baby proof our TV. The obvious answers are to wall mount it or use the safety straps but as we are renting we can't drill holes in the wall!
My little one is currently obsessed with trying to touch the TV and it is an accident waiting to happen Confused

Can you attach the straps to the TV cabinet.

Alternatively, ask the landlord if you can attach to the wall. 6mm hole and wall plug.

It's a 5 minute job to polyfiller when you leave, and touch up if you know the paint shade

We have resorted to blocking ours off with a folding baby playpen which is also acting as a room divider and will hopefully protect both the tv and Christmas tree from small grabby hands.

Ha, you're lucky it's now ... I recall a toddler who insisted on posting tiny things - keys, credit cards, pieces of toast and jam - through the DVD slot ...

It was not at all funny at the time. Halloween Angry

I'd go with a play pen around it.

How big is the TV? Is your main concern the tipping hazard? Can you change the stand to something very wide, or fix the existing stand to the TV unit?

Ha, my mum once caught me trying to post a letter to the Broomcupboard by pushing it through one of the vents on the back of the CRT case.

Get a taller tv cabinet?

I think the whole not being able to drill walls in holes thing when renting is pretty outrageous tbh, when large furniture is meant to be secured to the wall so it isn't a tipping risk. I would ask the landlord if holes can be made for this purpose - it's a safety thing surely!
