Eames style dining chairs recommendations?

I'm after a new dining table and chairs and fancy something a bit more modern looking than our current 3rd (or possibly 4th!) hand pine table and chairs which have seen better days.
I'm drawn to these as I do like the look and also they seem practical with toddlers. However are they comfy? High enough for a regular table? Any recommendations on where to buy them? Smile

Are you thinking Eames inspired DSW Eiffel? Our office have them in one of the rooms. They wipe down easily and are fairly comfortable. Cult Furniture and Atlantic Shopping sell them for around £45.
For real Eames or higher quality repro you probably have to look in Heals or Vitra.

@DianaT1969 I'm not sure tbh! Just looked that up and yes I think so! That sort of style. Just worried they won't be that comfy. I suppose you can get cushions for them perhaps.

No hard chair will be be totally comfortable.

Cushions wouldn't fit well because they are so curved. Have you thought of mid-century style velvet dining chairs. Also on Cult Furniture? They have been around a few years, but would be more comfortable. West Elm do a more expensive option on them.

We've got these kinds of chairs, bought on eBay, they're comfortable to sit on for a few hours. Really wipe clean and practical. We have a mix of colours which looks fab. The only think I'd say is that sometimes some children have fallen backwards when they were swinging backwards as they're quite light.

@DianaT1969 I'd love the velvet ones but I just don't think practical enough with toddlers!

Tolix chairs be ordered with leather/faux leather seat pads if you like a contemporary industrial look.
Or IKEA have a new slightly upholstered chair called BALTSAR you might like. It has the curved egg shape of Eames Eiffel, but with Scandinavian legs and a chunky back. (I'm not keen on the back - think they should have left it smooth and minimalist).

We had some when we had young kids. The standard Eames style chair is very bad for them - easy to slide sideways or tip the whole chair by leaning on the back. We had two with moulded arms on the side and those were safe.

@SauvignonGrower oh good point I didn't think if that Sad I just wanted something a little different to our current wooden chairs.
@DianaT1969 thanks those IKEA ones are really nice. Seen as we would need 6 though they're a bit pricey I think sadly.

I have tulip style chairs with my dining table, the ones with the wooden legs and soft seating pad built into the plastic seat. Great prices and various colours on Amazon, think I paid under £150 for 6 chairs.
