Coir, jute or sisal?

I'm considering carpeting our dining room and stairs in one of these options.
Anyone got any advice or feedback please?
I'm a bit concerned about cleaning a natural fibre carpet, wear and tear etc.

I think they all stain terribly - perhaps not ideal for a dining area?

There are some good man-made options on unnaturalflooring that have the look and feel of sisal/jute but totally cleanable.

Thanks for that suggestion- good call!

Depending on how they're woven, they can be terribly slippy - be careful on stairs.

Plus all three are absolutely horrible underfoot and shred into socks, so unless you're a shoes/slippers house I'd avoid frankly.

I wouldn’t in a dining area. I’ve had it and it stains like a bugger.

Another one who has been down the staining path wouldn't have it again. Some Berber woven carpets give a similarish effect but easier to clean.

This is so timely, my mother and I were talking about my clapped-out jute rugs and what to replace them with. Over time they get so grotty and dusty I don't fancy just buying more of the same so I've just ordered a bunch of samples from Unnatural Flooring.

I'd go fishbone parquet. Coir and the others are tough to maintain and rough on the feet.

Ooh parquet sounds interesting...
