Me and the husband have just brought our first bed and mattress after 10 years of having his old uni one! We've ordered decent duvet and pillows and want some really luxurious bedding to go with it. I don't mind paying a lot of I know it's worth it. Does anyone have any recommendations on your favourite bedding please?x

Depends on your personal taste. We buy Egyptian cotton in white or ivory with a minimum 600 thread count, which is lovely to sleep in, but requires ironing for it to look great. M&S are usually good quality as are Sheridans. Also depends on budget. If you prefer patterns etc then Dorma are good quality. Next do a large range in a range of price brackets.

I buy Marks and Spencer Egyptian cotton fitted sheets because in my experience they are the only ones that stay on the bed, plus they feel nice. I think they are 400 thread count

My personal favourite brand is Designers Guild, but I only buy when there’s an offer on. Don’t know what the thread count is, but they feel good.

John Lewis have a good selection, and you can pick up some nice stuff in TK Maxx, although hit and miss and can’t always get matching pillowcases.

My DD has just changed to linen. I can’t comment on these, but she likes them and they are very popular now. They get go softer the more the are washed

Thanks I'll have a look at MnS. We went for Dorma plain white Egyptian cotton and it's fantastic. Will look at some of the suggested ranges thanks

I swear by TK Maxx, they have amazing designer bedding a loss pricey than the shops, I love Egyptian Cotton and get all mine from there.
