Housed built in 1960 so don’t want a country kitchen, it’ll be minimalist but I’m not sure on colour.
There’s lots of light but it’s not a big room and can be seen from the front door.
Safe white? will dark grey date? Black? Something pale?
Anyone willing to share pictures of theirs?

Sounds great! If it were me, which it won't be as we rent, I would have solid wood doors so that I could paint them what ever colour I fancy at the time, rather than have MDF doors in a fixed colour.

(I spend too much time thinking about what colour I would have our kitchen considering I can't change it!!)

But an off white is the safest choice I think for pre-painted doors, then colour on the walls.

Mine is new last year, I love sharing pictures 😂.
Sage green shaker (Norton painted from DIY Kitchens). Walnut wood effect laminate worktop to match as far as I could the LVT flooring.
Not everyone's taste but I love it.

We went for boring white because its quite a dark kitchen and it leaves me able to change the colour of the walls in the future. I had a sample of a cashmere door from DIY kitchens but felt like it would feel dingy on a dull day. I can't remember the name of the range we went for in the end, it was a diy kitchens one, matt slab doors.
I can't find any pictures on my phone for some reason.

I will share pics in a few weeks when ours is done, but we've gone for handleless doors/drawers - top cupboards white and underneath cupboards dark navy, with a marble worktop. The room is north facing with not a lot of light but I loved the navy so we were advised to go wtih white on top and having seen it in a showroom it looked lovely. I cannot wait!

I won't share pics of mine as it's a country kitchen so not your style. I feel that pastel shades work better in a small room which is what I went for. What's your favourite colour OP? Maybe a paler version of whatever that is would work well and hopefully you won't get bored with it.

From what I can work out, current kitchen trend is matt. Mix of colours in one kitchen, some very dark (navy or dark green), some very pale. Grey doesn't feature much.

Move towards no handles. Not granite. Wall shelves at most but no wall cupboards. Islands and pantry units.

So not all practical!

To be honest, all kitchens date. Choose something you like that works for you and your kitchen space.

I've a 60s house and for an Alabaster solid wood kitchen from DIY Kitchens. It fits well with the age of the house.
