Sage green family kitchen - navy feature wall?

We remodelled the back of our house a few years back and have an open plan dining kitchen / family room. The kitchen units are a pale sage green/grey gloss and flooring/ worktops are oak. The kitchen is painted a pale grey (hardly any visible wall) and dining/ family part is a pale sage green. I do love it but feel it could take a darker feature wall on opposing length wall from kitchen, am thinking navy. Any thoughts? The room is south facing with lots of windows including patio doors so it's always flooded with light.
We're changing dining chairs from white to a mix of colours including navy, blush pink; white and grey in an attempt to break space up a bit.
Any thoughts on navy feature wall much appreciated. (FWIW my DH isn't sure on the navy/ sage green combo)

Theoretically as in nature green should go with any colour. It would work, bearing in mind dark blue will date as it is a current fad. Also the dark intense shade will appear to shorten the room, but it seems as the room is long it could take it. Have you thought about some statement original art instead?

Thanks @crimsonlake we've got a large abstract framed print on that wall; which I think really works. (The image I attached was after the works were completed so a blank canvas)

I agree with your comments re navy dating, this has been a concern, but I can't think of any other colour that I would like enough to go with instead.

As this is more a day space for the family, I should maybe retain the status quo as it is light & airy.
