Calling Ikea Pax Experts

I've just spent way longer than is healthy on the Ikea Pax Wardrobe Planner. I have a 300 cms length of wall to kit out. After putting 100 cms units x 3 into the Planner, it seems I can't apply sliding doors to that config. If I want sliding doors, is 75 cms x 4 my only option?

I’ll have a nosy for you but I have - and love - the Pax system. I have the full height floor to ceiling type which I may suggest gives you loads of space... I have doors on mine and to be honest do prefer them to my other shop bought wardrobes which are a sliding door. I have a 3 x 100cm Pax wardrobes in my bedroom (1 x 100 and 1 x 200).

I also have two double Pax wardrobes in my spare room... I’ll try and load the planner now

I am thinking about using the Pax system for my dressing room (box room). Considering going for the walk in closet look and not having doors. I will follow this with interest as I haven’t a clue. I love all the pull out racks and drawers that you can get.

Cannotcope4223 - when you say "I have a 3 x 100cm Pax wardrobes in my bedroom (1 x 100 and 1 x 200)" - the widest available unit is 100cms, right?

Belindabelle - I highly recommend spending an evening in the Pax Planner. If you don't already have a laser measure, I advise you get one and put the measurements into the pax planner. I got this one: www.screwfix.com/p/magnusson-im25-laser-distance-measurer/1406x

There are loads of "dream walk-in wardrobe" vids on YouTube based on the pax system.

I think I'm moving towards hinged doors as the styles available will suit room in question better I think. And I'll be able do 100 X 3 with hinged doors.

Someone on here issued the helpful reminder to take your measurements from the skirting board! Unless you're removing them of course.

The planning is a bit of a head-wreck but will hopefully pay off in the end. Sliderobes, Sharps etc starting at 2.5K per wardrobe has driven me in pax direction. I've 4 rooms to do. The "forever flexibility" of all the different modules is huge too. Any regrets in implementation should be pretty easy to address by playing around with the internal accessories.

I love ikea pax and have both sliding and hinged door.

For 300cm you would need two x 150cm sliding door configuration. Each door would be 75cm.

Or the 3 x 100cm like you have said.

The endless combinations are what makes it so great. You can get bespoke doors or jazz up the ikea ones, but the price point is better than anywhere else.

I'm saving to get the glass fronted drawers, they just look so smart.
