Green living room

Has anyone got a green living room they are willing to share a pic of or ideas?

I have a rather bland square front room, 1960s house so no exciting features. No fire place. It’s beige and cream, which is what I thought I wanted but after 5 years and numerous children’s hand prints, I’ve changed my mind.

I’m thinking green, maybe an olive colour I’m not sure.

If I painted the whole lot I’m worried it would be too dark, but I keep reading that statement walls aren’t the thing anymore. One wall? Two? Curtains?

I have brown leather sofas and a cream carpet and an enormous window.

Someone throw some ideas out, please? I’m no good at this!

I can't help with photos as we haven't done it yet but we're going to paint our lounge in Little Greene Garden, with their Richmond Guinevere wallpaper on the chimney breast and alcove. It all looks nice on big pieces of lining paper that we've tested, and we like it, so it won't be to everyone's taste, but at least we'll have a lounge we like!

I think feature walls can look timid if you go neutral everywhere and then one bright wall for example, but if you have a lighter version of a colour and then darker on one wall, that can be interesting and give you the chance to be a bit bolder.

Ours is a soft willowy green, with pink accessories. It’s in desperate need of fresh paint (been about 12 years...). But it’s a great colour, relaxing in the evening, cheerier in the day.

I'm currently obsessed with F&B Bancha. You could paint the ceilings dark but my main experience of that is the IL's house and they have extremely high ceilings and large windows. Looks awesome but not sure how it would translate to a 1960s house. Otherwise do all 4 walls and skirting boards but do a light green or cream roof. Keep other things (curtains, cushions, chairs, lampshades) in the room light, either cream or light green. It's only paint so go for it, it will transform the room and if you don't like it you can paint it back. It's not as big a decision as the sofa.

We've got one green wall in Promenade, from the Crown Period range. I absolutely love it! Picture for a short period...

We had painted a pale light green shade. But, didn't like it so repainted it. May be because it was a pale shade. Rather you can go for darker shade.
