Dulux Gentle Fawn with Natural Hessian?

Hi all, im after some painting advice.

So after testing what seems to be a million testers, I had settled on Gentle Fawn as a feature wall colour in the lounge and Just Walnut elsewhere, including the hallways and stairs etc. However, Just Walnut seems too grey ish on the walls. All the walls are magnolia at the moment.

I'm trying to assess whether I could do Gentle Fawn with Natural Hessian on the rest of the walls, including the stairs and hallways etc. Would this look ok or are the colours too similar?

Please help Smile

I’m not sure that’s a feature wall colour really. It’s very... magnolia...

And to answer your question, yes they are very similar. It might look a bit like you ran out of paint and had to buy some from another batch that doesn’t quite match.

Thanks for your reply, I'll try to attach some pictures but on my walls it's come up as a taupey brown with pinkish undertones. The picture I will hopefully attach shows Gentle Fawn and Just Walnut below. This is on the magnolia wall. I'm not sure that they quite 'go' together.

I'm trying to 'layer' the neutrals in the room and around the house so I guess I need a colour that works well with gentle fawn, but is lighter than it.

Dulux suggest pink skies to go with gentle fawn because it IS pinky. You have made a mistake of leaving the magnolia on the wall you are testing. The testers will always read "off" in that case.

I tested on the wall, as I wasn't going to paint then white prior to painting. Initially I tested on A4 paper, 2 coats. But as I will most probably be painting directly over the magnolia, I thought it best to test on the wall too..
