Pastel colour for south-facing attic bedroom walls?

Hi,

I'm moving my 10-year-old daughter into our spare room in the attic. It's a large room with a south-facing Velux and a West-facing regular window, so it has tons of light. The ceilings are high but sloped and a little irregular as there's some boxing in a corner, so I think my best bet is to paint all walls (including the ceiling) in a pale colour. Do you agree? I don't want it to look like a cave...

My daughter has requested pink but can be persuaded to go with a pastel colour. Do you have any recommendations? All woodwork and furniture will be white.

Middleton pink from f&b is a lovely subtle pink. Setting plaster pink and pink ground, also f&b are lovely too.

I’d let her have pink as blue/lilac can be cold. A pale lemon could be nice.

I was thinking ofMiddleton pink!

What about a duck egg green?

Have you had a look at Little Green? They have a colour scale section, which is a main colour and depth variations.

I’ve got China Clay (mid?) on my kitchen cupboards.

Do paint tests first - the strong s light will change the colour.

Pink is a pastel colour, well pale pink is. I was going to say calamine or possibly borrowed light or pale pastel. That room could take any shade I think.

Dulux Blush Pink is also really nice if the F&B is too pricey.

What about a pale sage green? Looks fantastic against white and not be as young as a pink. Though I’d 100% have wanted a pink room as a 10yo.
