How do I dress these patio doors and window

I have a huge bedroom 19ft 4 x 12ft 6. On one wall I have massively wide patio doors with approx 2ft between them and a wide window.

At the moment my old curtains from previous house are up. They look like hanging rags, different lengths and to me it just looks like too much fabric as there's such a small gap between window and doors.
It doesn't help that the top of the window revel is at least 3" higher than the patio doors!

Now, new curtains for the patio doors are going to be silver velvet. What would work better for the window, the same long length curtains or a roller blind in the same fabric on the outside of the window revel to the window sill length. What on earth do I do to hide the differences in height, pelmets, swags?? Any ideas please.

Is it possible to have the same curtain fabric all the way along, with a curtain pole running the full length of the wall at the same height for the full length?
Failing that, blind in same fabric...

Curtains on patio doors and roman blind on outside of other window with pelmets on both to tie it all together.

Curtain pole all the way across, at ceiling height. Floor length (pooling slightly) curtains pulled back to each side. Individual (matching) blinds at both the window and doors - fitted to the doors so they stay in place when you open them.

You could have shutters made & if they sit on the face of the wall they can be made do both openings will match in height. Often they will match the leaf widths too...so, say your window is 6ft & doors are 8 ft - they’d make the window in 3 x 2ft wide panels, and the doors in 4 x 2ft panels.

Some good ideas, thank you!

I think I'd do shutters or blinds of some sort!
In a bedroom I'd want to be able to block out all the light when I needed to sleep but a nice bright space when I was awake!

I agree with the one curtain pole all the way across due to the unven heights, blind or blinds so they looked "dressed" when the curtains are open. When the curtains are open there would be one at either end of the room then one in the middle between the window and the patio doors.

You don't need an actual massively wide curtain. I have windows which are 175w with a 135 drop, I bought 2 pair of eyelet curtains sill length and just stack 2 curtains to one side and 2 curtains to the other. Even when they are closed you cannot tell they are 2 pair.

Shutters are lovely but you have to have fold back room.

I think I'd go for either shutters or a white wood effect venetian blind set inside the recess of the window, then a curtain across the doors. You could add white perfect fit blinds to the doors if you need more privacy or to match the window.

Imo curtains right across would look a bit much / old fashioned as would pelmets or swags.
